\ The Fast & Furious series is one that never fails to let up, bringing in millions at the box office and becoming one of the greatest modern day franchises the world has seen. Showing no signs of slowing down, the eighth movie in the series – The Fate of the Furious – will come to theaters in April, and if the teasers and trailers released in anticipation are anything to go by, it’s going to be one of the most intense and chaotic affairs so far. One of the original staples of the Fast & Furious movies was actor Paul Walker, who gained international acclaim as Brian O’Conner. Debuting in the original movie and reprising the role in every sequel that came after, his untimely death came in 2013 at 40 years-old when he was the victim of a single-vehicle collision. Many thought his death would signal the end of the Fast & Furious series, but now co-star Vin Diesel has opened up about why th...

It’s been more than three years now since Paul Walker died. And while there is apparently a life-size statue of the Fast & Furious star floating around out there (anyone want to spend $4,000 on it?!), there hasn’t been a city or town anywhere in America that has erected a statue in Walker’s honor. Two surf bros are on a mission to change that. Those two surf bros, Chad and Bodhi, appeared in front of the city council in San Clemente, California recently to ask the city to consider building a huge 12-foot statue of Walker on a pier. In a six-minute clip that was posted on Facebook by the San Clemente Times , Chad and Bodhi made separate arguments for why a Walker statue should be a no-brainer. "I’ve witnessed first-hand the ever-growing divide between Americans and families torn apart by political differences," Chad said, shortly after saying "what up council?" while introducing himself. "It’s in times lik...

At the risk of bursting your bubble, you have to know that Vin Diesel, The Rock, Michelle Rodriguez and the rest of the cast of the Fast and the Furious franchise don’t do all their own driving in those movies. I know, I know. But many of those amazing sequences that are captured in the movies are performed by stunt drivers. One of those stunt drivers finally gets a bit of the spotlight in a new campaign from Castrol Edge, which has partnered with Universal Pictures to help promote the upcoming The Fate of the Furious. The Titanium Ice Driving Challenge is the latest entry in the Titanium Trials, an ongoing effort from Castrol Edge designed to show off professional drivers doing their thing in extreme conditions, competing against themselves via simulation technology and more. In this latest Titanium Trials short film, Fate of the Furious stunt driver Debbie Evans slides into a Jaguar F-Type 5.0 Supercharged V8, which is a fast-moving,...

And to think, all of this - the crashes, fire, explosions, fighting, jumping cars through buildings, throwing cars out of a plane etc - spawned from a little Vibe magazine article way back in 1998 about underground street racing called ‘Racer X’. That planted the seed for the very first The Fast and the Furious . Now, we’re up to number eight, handily titled Fast & Furious 8 (or The Fate of the Furious elsewhere). And TopGear.com has a properly world exclusive clip from the upcoming movie to show you. Yup, sit back and watch one-and-a-bit-minutes worth of street racing footage where Dom - played by Vin Diesel - is racing some seriously old muscle in Cuba. Ah yes, Cuba. The filmmakers had apparently always wanted Cuba to host a Fast film, and this is handy because it reminds you that yes, many moons ago, the films used to be about actual drag racing. Here, ther...
